Leonardo da Vinci’s Art and Science Workshop
Mentor: Stella Bataglia, Museo Galileo – Institute and Museum of the History of Science
The relationship between da Vinci’s knowledge of vision and his techniques of how to represent perspective will be illustrated by utilizing the lines of the artist’s drawings and his scientific and artistic notes.
The geometric laws that the pictorial perspective is based upon will be experimented directly by the students through some specially reconstructed instruments, such as the “Camera Obscura” and “Il Vetro”.
